Burglary/Robbery Reports - received April, June, and September 2007

These are the Burglary/Robbery Reports received at the LONA meetings in April, June and September. There was no meeting in May, as there was a scheduling error. We held "special topic" meetings in July and August, during which, we did not cover these regular reports.

I have also included the agendas and other handouts, as they were supplied at the previous meetings. Some of these help to clarify all that LONA does to improve our area, as many residents think that we "take the summer off", when that couldn't be farther from the truth!

Normally, we do not hold meetings in July and August, but this year, we were honored to have Deputy Chief of Police Sheppard come to listen and encourage our group on ways to combat the quality of life problems in our neck-of-the-woods.

The LONA officers continue to attend Sector 3 planning committee meetings, patrol the neighborhood with PAC-TAC, assist with housing code enforcement issues, as well as help plan and participate in the annual National Night Out Against Crime. These are but a few of the many different boards, groups and organizations your LONA officers are actively involved in!

This summer was even more special, as we rebuilt the J.P. Riley Park's playground, utilizing many grants, as well as time and energy donations, to make the project successful!

As always, if you have any questions, please contact us, as we are here to work with you, as we all create a better future in our Lyell-Otis neighborhood!

The list above is of the brainstormed ideas that the LONA group came up with at our August meeting. At the September meeting, we were asked to circle the three ideas that we thought to be the best. The group voted, and after the tallys were completed, the items with a star next to their number were voted to be the best, by popular opinion, by the group in attendance. We wish you were there to voice your opinion!

Please plan on attending our upcoming meetings!!!! Thanks! We look forward to seeing you there! ~ Pam
